Ophelia Oil Painting

Oh! The tragic story of Ophelia from Shakespeare's Hamlet! How many of us go through things in this life that make us feel like we cannot go on? How many of us focus on the negative things that seem to be happening in our lives, and want to give up completely? Like Ophelia, mental issues play a large part in our lives when tragedy strikes. And sadly, some do not end well.

I want to remind my viewers that though we may find ourselves in situations in life that are extremely painful, there is hope. We can find peace. Will this beauty, Ophelia, truly perish from her sad choices, or is there another side of the story? Is there a little bit of a spark in her eyes that makes us believe that things will end up well with her? The same can be true in our lives.

Perhaps, like in the movie version of Ophelia, we will see ourselves at a later date, embracing the good in our lives, and moving forward with a new determination. Perhaps, if we make the decision to see the good somehow in our circumstances, we will have a more meaningful life full of future hope and blessings?
