I loved to be free in the summer, to run wild, and barefoot as a child! Seeing and feeling the world around me. As a kindergartener, this world began to be put down on that large white paper on the easel with a fat paintbrush and colorful paint, as I lost myself in my art, and all others disappeared. This is when I find the treasures that are hidden inside of me!

I have been an artist my entire life, and am basically self-taught. While I have pored over books, and took classes in high school, my real education has been in studying other artists’ work, and practicing my own to perfection. Being introverted and extremely observant, I have studied facial expressions and body language, and can read a person very well. I am passionate about portraying people realistically in my art.

My art goes beyond portraits to Fantasy Faerie Art. I just love the magic that a faerie brings to my life! And I want to share this in my oil paintings and drawings, which are usually in Miniature form.

My desire is to create, to give life and sparkle, or even mystery, to a subject’s eyes. I have been told my art is not only beautiful, but one can feel the emotion, that it is true, and pure, and comes from my heart. My uncle told me, “You have been able to bring (that) kindness, sweetness ,and love out of the subjects you select. I think the Lord guides your hand when you draw.” I believe He also guides my heart.
